Outstanding Employee Awards – April 2020

Please join us in congratulating our Outstanding ABC Care Employees of the month!

Lindsey Coates, Josh Hopkins, Joseline Jimenez, Jessica Madsen, Kelli Magee, Rachel Petenbrink

Lindsey has embraced teamwork and shown flexibility since her first day with ABC Care. During the COVID-19 pandemic the last 6 weeks, she has filled a necessary role at our Essential Personnel Child Care Center. Lindsey keeps the afternoon exciting with hikes, walks and fresh air! She exercises patience when children need a break and takes the steps needed to give it to them. She demonstrates the ABC Culture by “demonstrating flexibility, responsibility and a positive attitude” and remains “proactive in solving problems and teaching conflict resolution”.

Josh has shown resilience in his leadership role with ABC Care. During the COVID-19 pandemic the last 6 weeks, he has filled a necessary role at our Essential Personnel Child Care Center. Josh takes time to create an environment where children feel safe and cared for every afternoon. His humor and positive demeanor help smooth an uncertain atmosphere. He demonstrates the ABC Culture with excellence “in using fun transitions to guide children” and demonstrates “a positive attitude and outgoing demeanor on a daily basis”.

We are so proud to have Joseline as a member of our ABC Care team. During the COVID-19 pandemic the last 6 weeks, she has filled a necessary role at our Essential Personnel Child Care Center. Joseline is kind, supportive and loves being with the children. She takes the safety of the center seriously, making sure the cleaning is done regularly and correctly. She demonstrates the ABC Culture “by consistently involved and engaged with the children” and creates “welcoming, warm, friendly environment for the children”.

Jessica has made a positive impact with ABC Care since she started 3 years ago. During the COVID-19 pandemic the last 6 weeks, she has filled a necessary role at our Essential Personnel Child Care Center. Jessica takes time to individualize her attention to children making sure they feel secure and loved. She has been creating the daily lesson plans as well to keep them busy and engaged! She demonstrates the ABC Culture by “demonstrating strong leadership skills and has high expectations for herself and her team members” and “consistently involved and engaged with the children”.

Kelli has been a strong addition to our ABC Care core of Directors. During the COVID-19 pandemic the last 6 weeks, she has filled a necessary role at our Essential Personnel Child Care Center. Kelli is a friendly face each morning, welcoming children into care and making sure their day gets off to a good start. She has shopped for supplies for the children, as well as come to the office to keep our committee work moving forward. She demonstrates the ABC Culture by “demonstrating strong leadership skills and has high expectations for herself and her team members” and “interacting and playing games with children”.

Rachel started strong in our after school programs and continues to strive for excellence. During the COVID-19 pandemic the last 6 weeks, she has filled a necessary role at our Essential Personnel Child Care Center. Rachel never shies away from a challenge and makes a point to engage with every child in the afternoon. Although still in high school, she shows maturity beyond her years. She demonstrates the ABC Culture “by making children feel nurtured, and safe” and enjoys “interacting and playing games with the children”.

Lindsey, Josh, Joseline, Jessica, Kelli and Rachel are heroes to all essential personnel families and to ABC Care management during this critical time.
