ABC Care Center – Friendship Valley Elementary School
A MD EXCELS Level 3 center and three-time nationally accredited program, ABC Care Center at Friendship Valley offers self-selected and organized team activities in language arts, creative arts and STEM, allowing children to pursue projects and topics of interest to them. Our program also provides planned activities to assist children with social and emotional development. Students enjoy supervised free play and team games in the large school gymnasium, outdoor playground and blacktop areas. Our extended afternoon hours give children more time to experience all that ABC Care has to offer including more complex art and science projects and extra time outdoors for more active time.
Sage has several years of experience in childcare. She earned her associates degree in Early Childhood Education in 2017 from The Community College of Baltimore County. During college Sage had the opportunity to student teach in a second grade classroom. Since graduating she has held positions as a nanny, preschool teacher and assistant director of a preschool. This is Sage’s first year with ABC Care. Her drive for providing exceptional care for children comes from her own experiences as a mom! Sage is passionate about helping children develop growth mindsets that help empower them! In her free time you can find Sage outdoors enjoying nature, crafting or spending time with her family, friends and dog!
Ashley began with ABC Care in January 2022 which is also her first year working in childcare. Ashley has a background of working in Occupational Therapy for 10 years and was looking for a change of pace. In Ashley’s free time she likes to go on hikes with her dog Falcor. We are very excited to have Ashley as part of our team!
