ABC Care Deer Park Adventure Camp, located at Deer Park United Methodist Church, provides fun in the sun for active campers! Each week, campers enjoy art activities, science, team building, group games, immersive sports activities, and sign language, as well as time for reading and journaling as we encourage literacy activities all summer! Our program offers field trips for swimming and water fun, nature experiences and more!
ABC Care Deer Park Adventure Camp is a fully outdoor program with activities held under a pavilion and on picnic tables. The air-conditioned Fellowship Hall is utilized during occurrences of Code Red and severe weather alerts.

Campers are immersed in hands-on science activities on Mondays with STEM Day! Campers cool off on Mondays with a visit from the Kona Ice Truck each week.
Each Tuesday, campers take a field trip to the Cascade Pool for swimming, swim lessons, water fun and active games (weeks 1-10) or Piney Run Park to experience all the fishing, basketball, tennis, playgrounds and hiking trails the park has to offer (weeks 11 & 12).
Wednesdays are Sports Days! Campers learn and practice basketball, soccer, tennis, kickball and more! Got Game? You will after this Summer!
Our field trip on Thursdays takes us to various local recreation sites and adventure trips including bowling, roller skating and ice skating.
Wrap up each week with a unique Fun Friday Event and optional Lunch Bunch!

Cara Kishbaugh is site director at ABC Care Friendship Valley and is Co-Director at ABC Care Deer Park Adventure Camp. Ms. Cara has worked with school-age childcare since 2010 and currently serves as co-chair of ABC Care’s Licensing and Regulations Committee. She earned an associate of arts degree in education from Carroll Community College. She is credentialed through Maryland State Department of Education. Cara enjoys trips to the beach and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
Victoria Lemmon is the Site Director at ABC Care Ebb Valley. Victoria earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Psychology from Penn State. She also earned an Associate’s of Arts in Criminal Justice from Harrisburg Area Community College. Victoria is also a Bible school teacher and has been a worship volunteer for 5 years at CABC. She is a Penn State student coordinator and research assistant, researching human trafficking. When not working, she enjoys doing crafts, hiking, and spending time with her dog.
Madison Wolf is Site Director at Mechanicsville ABC Care. Ms. Madison has worked with school-aged children for 6 years. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Towson University. Madison loves spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends. She also enjoys going on road trips, gardening and watching movies.
ABC Care school-based and summer camp programs hire supervisors and staff members who demonstrate necessary experience and skills for working successfully with children, including enthusiasm, compassion, patience, and respect.
