The ABC Care program at Westminster Elementary is a two-time nationally accredited, MD EXCELS Level 2 program, offering enriching daily experiences, including science, cooking and art, computer, drama, and manipulatives and participating in a variety of team-building activities. The Westminster center staff spends a great deal of time teaching about the heritages of children attending the center, with special events and cooking sessions. Students also enjoy their supervised free play time in the school’s large gymnasium, outdoor playground and blacktop area.
Gracie Gilmore joined ABC Care as an assistant in 2017. She then became a school-age child care teacher and has now become Site Director for our Westminster Center. Gracie began her career working with children at the Christian Preschool and Kindergarten in Westminster and then was asked to be a part of starting a new school in town. She worked at that school until she stepped down to be a stay at home mom. Gracie studied at Howard Community College and has taken many professional development trainings and continuing education courses. Gracie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, enjoying nature, and taking her golden retriever for car rides in her VW Beetle.
