ABC Care Center – North Carroll Community School
At the ABC Care Center at North Carroll Community School, an MD EXCELS Level 3 program, children benefit from a structured daily schedule that balances teacher-led and student-led activities.
Our program offers a designated area for students to work on homework independently, along with plenty of opportunities for supervised free play and team games. Physical activities take place in the school’s Atrium or outdoors, where students can enjoy fresh air and movement.
Children love exploring our large, nature-inspired playground, which features a mud kitchen, drum wall, Gaga pit, climbing logs, and a variety of play structures designed to encourage creativity and active play.
Students also enjoy expressive drama box options—from dollhouses to superhero figures—and take part in themed arts and crafts and engaging STEM experiments during both morning and afternoon sessions.

Jen joined the team as an assistant in 2021 and then moved up to a teacher position in 2023. She became the site Director in late 2023 and started the new school year at NCCS. She is a single mom to a 10-year-old son who loves to draw. She has been in childcare for 12+ years and has also worked in the field of special education and trained and worked for a year as a verbal behavior therapist. In addition to her childcare courses, she also took classes in psychology.
In her spare time, Jen likes to be outside when it’s nice and spend time with her son. She also enjoys watching movies when she is at home. Her favorite genre is horror! Nothing is better than a good scary movie in the dark.
DIRECTIONS
- From Westminster take MD 140 West. Take MD-97 N/Littlestown Pike toward Union Mills/Gettysburg. Follow for 3.6 miles and turn left onto Stone Road. NCCS will be on your left. Park out front and use the side door off the playground that opens into the cafeteria. Please call us or use the walkie talkie when you arrive to let us know you are there.
